Ayana Thomas


Ayana is a Partner in the Litigation Department. Her focused areas of practice include corporate and commercial litigation, property litigation including adverse possession claims, boundary disputes and division of matrimonial property disputes. Ayana also has demonstrated experience in copyright and breach of confidence litigation and labour relations matter. She often appears before the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Disputes Tribunal (IDT) in unfair dismissal claims, and undertakes personal injury litigation as well as other general negligence claims.

Ayana previously served as a lecturer in Family Law and Tort Law at the University of Technology, Jamaica. She is also deeply interested in community outreach programmes and is currently a part-time teacher for JAMAL at St. Margaret’s Church. Ayana is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association (JAMBAR) as well as the JAMBAR Employment Law Committee.
