Managing Partner

Lowel Morgan is the Managing Partner of our firm and a seasoned litigator with a wealth of knowledge in Defence Insurance, Personal injury matters, Insurance law, Maritime Law, and Alternative Disputes Resolution. Since his admission to the Jamaican Bar in 1991, he has been a trusted advisor to all major entities in the Jamaican insurance sector. His expertise spans across vital industries, namely, petroleum, hospitality, and telecommunications. His proficiency, skill, and deep understanding of the complexities of these fields has equipped him to successfully navigate numerous clients through intricate legal challenges.

In 2008, Lowel expanded his legal acumen by earning a Master of Laws Degree in Maritime Law from the University College of London. His research focused on the modernization of the Jamaican Arbitration statute. In 2014, he was recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Lowel is a strong advocate for alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as a more efficient alternative to litigation. It is no surprise that he serves as a Supreme Court certified Mediator and as a Notary Public in Jamaica.

Lowel leverages his exceptional negotiation skills to serve his clients effectively. His practice areas include civil litigation, maritime law, personal injury and insurance law, arbitration, contract dispute, employment law, and property law, including landlord and tenant disputes.

Lowel is multifaceted. Alongside his dedication to the law, is his deep involvement in his community. He is a devoted member of the Moravian Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, serving as Treasurer on the governing body the Provincial Elders Conference (P.E.C.). He is the Chairman of the Board of Bethlehem Moravian College, and a Board member of the United Theological College of the West Indies. Lowel is currently the Course Director of Law of Office Management, Accounting and Technology at the Norman Manley Law School.

Lowel frequently shares his insights at conferences hosted by the General Legal Council and the Jamaican Bar Association and has been a featured speaker at the Balkan Legal Conference. He is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association and the General Legal Council, where he currently chairs the Finance and Accounting Committee.

As a sports enthusiast, a walking fanatic, Lowel is a member of the Pali Walking Group and the Jamdammers Running Club and a passionate Arsenal fan. He enjoys watching a variety of sports, with football, cricket, and tennis being his favorites.
