Senior Partner

Patrick is the Senior Partner of the firm. He is a member of the Litigation Department and has a broad and varied practice in Litigation including commercial and labour disputes, constitutional and administrative law claims, matrimonial property disputes, and pension and tax matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Patrick worked with the Jamaican Attorney General’s Chambers, where he occupied a number of senior positions including Director of Litigation, and Deputy Solicitor General. He also acted as Solicitor General during which time he had administrative responsibility for the operation of the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Patrick had extensive civil litigation experience in private practice, before joining the Attorney General’s Chambers, having practiced with two major law firms. In his over 25 years of practice, he has gained extensive experience as an advocate and has appeared frequently as senior counsel in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

Patrick was appointed King’s Counsel in August 2008 for distinguished advocacy in the Courts. Patrick has tutored at the former College of Arts, Science & Technology now known as UTECH and is currently a tutor of Civil Procedure and Practice at the Norman Manley Law School.

In addition, he is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association.
